Trident began in 1984 as the brainchild of its three founding members, Peter Worth, Mark Rak and Alistair Minson. Originally beginning as a specialist in Point of Sales system, it quickly outgrew its Brighton offices and branched into wider areas including Software development and support, network integration and school notebook programs. In the early 2000s long term employees Katie Mcgorian and Alex Freiberg became Directors/Owners of the company when two of the founding members retired.
